CBD-infused beer and cocktails have been popping up everywhere. But is it wise to partake? Many people believe that the effects of CBD syrup and alcohol (like sleepiness and lower inhibitions) are amplified when you mix them. However, most brands advise not to mix their CBD products with alcohol. Users typically mix CBD syrup with their favorite soda, like Sprite or cream soda.

Cloud nine cbd syrup review

About 30 minutes after drinking it, I felt CBD was in me but the other herbs were overwhelming. Within 45 minutes my eyes kept trying to close and I kept nodding off, like if I had taken several Sudafed, not in the good relaxing way for me anyway. Within an hour, I just couldn’t focus and felt like I had too much herbs and I had a nap. I tossed and turned the whole nap. I normally am out and then awake and its 2 hours later.

You might love it, or have tried it and loved it. But for me it’s a pass. Way too overwhelming for me and not in a good CBD way.

Having tried many of the other ingredients in teas and for smoking and so forth, I knew this was going to be more then just a CBD feeling. The Kava one was odd since Kava is a root and the leaves don’t really do much and aren’t meant for ingestion. I didn’t care for the Melatonin, it tends to mess up my sleep rhythm, unless you take it right before bed and turn the lights out quickly. I’d say based on the other herb ingredients, they dominate this syrup over the CBD. It doesn’t say at what potency the others exist in it, but with that many relaxing supplements, they will overpower the CBD easily.

One dose is about 1oz and has 30mg of CBD along with the other herbs, and it’s a super thick clingy syrup that takes a bit of effort to mix into your liquid. I mixed it into soda water the first time and had to stir so much it lost most it’s carbonation. The second glass, I mixed into a small amount of soda water then added more to water it down. I recommend a 16oz bottle of water or soda water for this or its going to be super sugary and rich.

My second dose, same 1oz amount into about 16oz of soda water, tasted better, less sugary. But it hit me the same way, heavy, sedated, a bit overwhelming. It’s all the other herbs that do it I am sure. CBD never hits me like that. I’d say within an hour to an hour and a half I couldn’t handle it anymore and I went to bed at 9pm. I tossed and turned most the night because of it. I’d normally be out like a light just like when I nap.
